The Tri-City Equity Group is a Joint Venture between Vincent Gethings, Duc Ong, Matthew Callihan, and Steve Fierros. They partnered together in order to crush the multifamily real estate game!
Vincent Gethings is in the Air Force, and covers Operations for the group.
Duc Ong is a great realtor in Hawaii, and is the finance/marketing arm of the group.
Matthew Callihan is in the Army, and focuses on operations and leads.
Steve Fierros is the Acquisitions/marketing arm of the group.
These four men joined forces, and have formed a great joint venture group. In this episode we talk through their deal(s), but we also talk through how (and why) to form a joint venture group in order to take down more deals!

Aaron Hale served in the Navy as a chef and got to live the life in Italy, cooking for an Admiral. He decided that he wanted more though, and joined the army to become an EOD expert. Then, an unseen IED exploded in his face and changed his life forever. The accident stole his sight and just a short while later...his hearing. Despite this adversity, Aaron managed to run multiple marathons (including the Boston marathon), he hiked with the first blind man to hike Mt Everest, he kayaked with the first blind man to kayak all the way through the Grand Canyon, and he pursued his passions and embraced a happy life!
This is the story of how Aaron Hale overcame insurmountable odds, in order to find success in business, real estate investing, marriage, and being a father.
If you're not inspired to conquer the world after listening to this episode, you should just quit (joking)...but I don't know what will inspire you, this story is incredible!
Advice to an 18-20-year old: Don't let your Ego get in the way. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

Today I had the pleasure of talking with Brandon Renfro , he was in the Arkansas Army National Guard since 2009 and an Infantry Captain in the 39th Infantry Brigade but now he is a fee only financial advisor and Assistant Professor of Finance at East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, TX.
In this episode, Brandon discusses The Fame 4 Percent Rule and the Key Factors planning for your retirement. Gabriel Hamel was in the National Guard, and has built a real estate empire through seller-financing and creative financing strategies!
Gabriel has been extremely successful utilizing seller-financing to create win-win situations with sellers. The bank told him that he needed a job in order to qualify for loans, so he found a way around the bank in order to buy more real estate, and build his business!

Brian Briscoe is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps, and a multifamily-apartment syndicator.

Brian enlisted in the Marine Corps as a reservist, and it wasn’t until after September 11, 2001 that he decided to commission as an Officer in the Marine Corps. Brian has purchased single family real estate for several years, but was smart enough not to buy a home in San Diego when he was stationed there in 2006. As a result of this, he was able to swoop in on a short-sale property in 2009, and build a substantial amount of equity in that home.
Brian is now focused on multifamily apartment syndications, and his team currently has 127 units under contract!

Craig Curelop works with BiggerPockets, and has authored “The House Hacking Strategy” that releases on October third!

Craig has a financial background, and was working in northern California in 2017 when he realized that there had to be something more. He didn’t want to waste his life away slaving for “the man.” Craig stumbled upon BiggerPockets, and moved to Denver for a job with them.
Within six months he had bought his first house hack, almost three years later he owns three, cash flowing house hacks in Denver, Colorado, and is financially independent!
